La Jolla is the location of Torrey Pines Golf Course, site each January or February of a PGA Tour event formerly known as the Buick Invitational and, since 2010, called the Farmers Insurance Open. Downtown La Jolla, known as "The Village," is a walkable urban area packed with shopping, museums, and art galleries - making it one of the best cultural and entertainment spots in San Diego. The simple beauty of La Jolla’s natural landscape is one of its main attractions, but there are countless other outdoor adventures and things to do.
